Pamper yourself with $100 Walgreens SpaRewards
When the Walgreens Spa Rewards was originally announced in the October EasySaver catalog, there was a limitation on how much you could save on your spa visit (up to 25% of cost of services). Thanks to Georgia, I have found out that the rules have changed (the limitation on how much you could save was removed). From what I can tell this will be a great way to get a huge discount at the spa. But, there is no way to tell how good of a deal it will be because Walgreens is not providing sufficient details. So, I am going to do this as an experiment. If after getting the certificate and trying to book my spa date I find out it is not a good deal, then I will not do it. But I have to try, this offer is too tempting! Here's the Walgreens Spa Rewards deal:
1. Buy 4 participating products for $100 reward (or 2 products for $50 reward) at Walgreens in one transaction before Saturday, Nov. 24. I'll be buying Robitussin Syrup (4 oz) at $5.79 each, and using a $3 printable coupon for an out-of-pocket cost of $2.79 for each of my 4 items purchased to qualify.
2. Mail-in your cash register receipt and the form found in the November EasySaver catalog (found in a display by the front door of all stores).
3. You will receive a SpaRewards certificate in the mail (non-transferable, only you can use it because it will have your name on it) for a rebate on spa services.
4. Call the toll-free telephone number on your certificate to book your spa treatment at a participating spa near you.
5. Enjoy your spa visit before March 1, 2008.
Again, I hope that this is a good deal, but there is no way to tell until I do it!

Great Uses For Dawn Dish Soap
Great Uses for Dawn
Linsey, one of the frugal bloggers at Wisebread, posted this article she found about original uses for Dawn. I am always on the look out for frugal hacks like this:
Ice Pack – We are always in need of ice packs. Store-bought kinds can be expensive, and the fillers aren’t always guaranteed to be nontoxic. To make your own, simply fill a strong freezer bag halfway with Dawn Original dish soap (the blue kind, non-ultra). Double-bag for extra leak protection. These super-soft ice packs are great for all kinds of injuries. (We use snack-size freezer bags to make kid-sized boo-boo packs!)
I love this idea. We don't have any special "boo-boo packs"- we usually use ice, which sometimes leaks when it melts. Making a Dawn pack is now on my to-do list! :)

Hello
It's been a while since my last post. I went to my Neurologist yesterday and she gave me orders NOT to drive since I have had some seizures and was hospitalized last Tuesday for them. I have been having issues with muscle weakness, numbness and now seizures that come upon me without warning. They think the muscle weakness is from Lupus.
The doctor put me on seizure medicine to see if this will help. She also is sending me to a seizure specialist. I will also so be seeing a Rheumatologist in December for the Lupus. We will hold off on going to the Mayo Clinic or to the Baylor Clinic she said until sometime next year. Lord willing if it's His will He will give the doctor's direction as to what's going on. He is my strength day by day and I leave it all in His hands, for He never gives us more than we can handle, even though sometimes we may think we have more than we can Handel.

"Be Still And Know I Am God."
When was the last time you were just still? To hear complete quietness and doing absolutely nothing except meditate on this verse?Have you stilled your mind?Have you stilled your heart?Have you stilled your soul?Busyness reigns in our fast-paced world today---but Christians need to take the time to meditate and reflect on God's Word. We cannot hear God's voice if our minds are running so quickly trying to 'get it all done'. We want to be in communion with Him on a day to day, minute to minute basis. You can't do that with radios blaring, phones ringing and an overloaded schedule. What is He trying to speak with you today? His gentle voice might be nudging you to:
1. Spend more time relishing His word and fellowshipping with Him in prayer and stop living in idolatry putting other things before Him.
2. Stop neglecting your husband because you are so busy with the children and/or other endeavors. Begin respecting him by putting him on the throne of your heart (after God, of course). True respect begins there and is not just an outward act 'because you have to.'
3. To train your children and make it a PRIORITY to bring Christ to them in a real way. If you are mentoring someone at church and not your children, you need to repent.
4. Repent of that private sin(s) that only you and the Lord know about. Yes, it may be the thousandth time you brought it to Him, but this time it needs to be for good. Remember that godly sorrow brings repentance, but worldly sorrow doesn't.
5. To desire and begin to cultivate a gentle and quiet spirit. The false beauty of this world screams at us to be loud, aggressive, and proud. This is not true beauty---we need to reject this wordly philosophy. Humility is beautiful.....meekness is too.
6. To stop overeating. Just stop. You can do it. No excuses.
7. To keep promises you have made to others and to Him. You are learning to build godly character by doing so.
8. To control your tongue (by doing this you must also have control over your heart). The sharp tongue belongs to the foolish woman who 'tears down her home'.Begin to work on these things now! It is so easy to step away from the computer and forget all the valuable things we have learned. We can be forever searching for 'meat' but forgetting as soon as we have partaken in it. Take a mental inventory of what needs to be done in your life.
